What a wonderful time we had last evening at the Black and White Gala. Once again it was great to meet so many of you. Thank you for the support. It was certainly a social success and we look forward to seeing how well we did financially. Our greatest appreciation all who helped organize the event, especially the chairs Mrs. Michelle Clark and Mrs. Susan Della Guistina.
Catholic Education Foundation applications for financial aid for the 2013-2014 school year are available on-line. If you will be asking for financial assistance next school year you need to apply for this assistance first before Damien funds will be considered. The Catholic Education Foundation is the primary source of our financial aid.
You may also have seen the opportunity to assist families in need this school year with the Catholic Education Foundation Million Dollar Challenge Grant available to the school. Details are available on the web site. We do have current families with unfunded need. Thank you for any help in this matter.
We also had great crowds at the first of two Open Houses to share our story earlier today. If you know of any families looking for the excellent high school education for their eighth grade young man that they can find at Damien, applications are available on line and our next Open House will be Saturday January 12th starting at 11 am. We commence with a brief assembly followed by tours and a light barbeque. Thank you for helping to share our story.
Congratulations to the debaters who finished 5th overall in a group of over 60 schools from across the country in the Las Vegas tournament last week. We wish the best of success in your preparations for your next tournament coming up over Thanksgiving.
