PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE – NOVEMBER 2011
Hello from the Principal's Office at 6:48 AM on Halloween Day! I'm dressed up as a math nerd for Halloween – but that's nothing new!
October was a fun filled month at Damien. It started off in formal fashion – Mr. Raymond Nolte, our esteemed Theology teacher, was knighted Sir Raymond as he became a Knight of the Holy Sepulchre in Las Vegas on Oct. 2nd. Our very own retired Cardinal Mahony did the knighting. I was a witness to this ancient ceremony, as was our librarian Mr. Jimenez. Congratulations Sir Raymond – and I think you should wear your special cape and hat while you teach!
Our first Kairos retreat of the year occurred the week of Oct. 3rd. It was a spirit filled week, as both Fr. Cronin and Fr. Roche attended. Congratulations to all the candidates, and especially our Campus Minister, Mr. Sullivan – this was the first Kairos that he was in charge of, and he did a fantastic job.
We had a great month of October in football. The Varsity started off .....
